We are currently recruiting for Electro-technical apprentices to join us to embark on a 3-4 year Apprenticeship Programme

Roles and responsibilities

The Electro Technical apprenticeship is a 3.5 year apprenticeship Programme combining ‘block release’ training at Stephenson College, a specialist facility in Coalville, with on-the-job training in a Mather and Stuart Service Centre near your home. We offer a comprehensive training programme with internal support and external supplier training. You will usually attend college for 16 weeks per term. However, you will receive travel expenses, accommodation, food and lots of support whilst you are there and you will become a multi-skilled electro technical fitter and a valued asset for the business.

You’ll be a key member of one of our Mather and Stuart Service Centre teams learning how to:

  • Install electrical equipment and systems
  • Carry out inspection and testing on electrical systems
  • Identify and repair electrical fault
  • Commission electrics

Skills required

The right candidate should possess the following skills: 

  • Ability to carry out instructions
  • Adhere to Health & Safety
  • Good communication and listening skills 
  • Problem- solving skills
  • Full driving licence essential 

Must have GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English
