We’re very proud of our award winning Apprenticeship programme and this year A-Plant has been recognised as one of the Top 100 apprentice employers in the UK, the only hire company to feature in the list!
We typically invest over £1 million each year in the recruitment and training of our Apprentices. The majority of A-Plant Apprentices follow our Plant Maintenance Apprenticeship programme and we also offer Apprenticeships across many other disciplines such as Drivers, Customer Service, Human Resources and Finance
Our Apprentices have also won national accolades in the Construction Plant Hire Association’s (CPA) Stars of the Future programme, and we are keen to recruit both male and female Apprentices. To make an application for our Apprenticeship programme, please click here.
“My advice for somebody considering an Apprenticeship would be that you have to be motivated, a team player, and be able to work and adapt to the company’s needs. Also, that it is hard work, it isn’t easy and sometimes really challenging, but in a rewarding way. If given the opportunity, definitely take it - it will be one of the best decisions you make.”
Paige Carter - Plant Maintenance Apprentice – Year 2 Winner of ‘Construction Plant Maintenance – Stars of the Future Award’
“The Apprenticeship programme has been extremely valuable in gearing our business up for the future. As well as giving us a pool of skilled employees who have a good understanding of A-Plant’s values and systems, the whole experience has provided worthwhile employment and progression opportunities for people across the UK.”
Bob Harper, Head of Training
"Tougher times favour those with a skill or trade and we have adopted a long-term view by recruiting more Apprentices in our quest to attract and retain the best people in our industry. Our key objective is to have a fully qualified and competent workforce and our Apprentice Academy plays a key role in helping us achieve this. Our Apprenticeship schemes are a fantastic route to a long and fruitful career with A-Plant, allowing people to earn as they learn.”
